Math students have been hard at work showing off their skills for conferences.


In the assignment represented below, students had to choose leveled computational problems.  As always, they were encouraged to be creative with their presentation which is quite motivating.  Levels are color coded to the rainbow (ROY G BIV) – red is the easiest and purple is the most difficult – hot pink represents a level beyond what they have learned in class. Giving students the freedom to choose levels almost always results in them challenging themselves to push for a higher level – seems to be human nature.  Independence, Freedom, Creativity at work…
