Ladies and Gentleman, Boys and Girls, Children of all Ages…….
The Salida Circus is coming to town in appreciation and promotion of Healthy Children Sat. May 19th at Legion Park.
I am the advisor of the Western State College of Colorado’s Active Minds club- their goal is to promote health and wellness across the college campus and in the community. Each year we do a community service project and this year we decided to bring the Salida Circus to town for a free circus for all children.
In addition to this the circus is going to do a SPECIAL training just for Orsch students, teachers and families. They will be training up to 20 Orschters from 10am-12pm on Sat. and then those students, teachers and families will put on a circus for our whole community from 1-3pm. This would be a great community service project for anyone who still needs one and an additional one for those who just like to keep on giving.
We have a sign-up board at Orsch and you can also e-mail me to let me know if you would like to participate – and if not…Please come and watch and enjoy the fun.
We will be accepting donations for Orsch scholarship fund (from the community circus -not Orsch training) and selling some food to help support the fund as well.
(We also did this in the fall with the Patch Adams event and Early Childhood Council and had over 100 kids).
Thanks for your time.
